The nation of Noralia has been shaken deeply by the recent war against the necromancers, which it barely won...or even survived. However, the greatest of all necromancers managed to escape the final battle, and who knows what new plans he will come up with. You must find him and deal with the menace he presents for once and for all.

Removing boulder... - On a Necromancer's Trail
Hello!
Was a very long time (15 years) since I made this map. I am glad someone still plays my map.
To help me find the solution, I looked it up in the walkthrough I made back then.
It reads...
"Boulder and reopened ferry
Once you are back to Elorheim, the duke will express his concern over the fact that the way to Melatar is closed, since the bridge is destroyed. There is an alternate road to Melatar, but it is blocked by a huge boulder. He wonders if Alania cannot use the aid of three visitors from the Wizard's Guild to move that boulder.
Leave the Elorheim area through the northern garrison. Instead of entering the mountain pass, go east, on the northern side of the river. There is a boulder between two mountains there. A force of three magi will be there a couple of days after your last visit to Elorheim. They may or may not have reached the boulder's location by the time you get there. Once they are there, you just have to approach the boulder with Alania. After the boulder is gone, you get a message that the ferry has been reopened after just taking a few steps."
So, it takes the magi a couple of (ingame) days to show up at the correct spot. If the hero Alania goes there after that, there is a message and the way is opened.
Where is the correct spot, then?
It is a short distance north-east of the exit gate from the general Elorheim area. I have taken a screenshot from the map editor and then drawn a red X at the approximate right spot.
Remember to wait for the magi to show.
Hope this helps and good luck!
Author: Roger Kilian (Cork, Ireland), 27-12-2013 21:42 A great story and a fun intermediate map I did play through without needing the walkthrough, but clues were enough. I enjoyed the teasers and clues. The storyline and the hidden doors were challenging, but made sense, and all came together in the end. Bringing peace was a great concept.
Author: GIGS1975 (Slovakia), 23-09-2012 14:21 Like Stuck with Alania After capturing Peldagor, i went to rescue Alania. After rescuing her I visited the abandoned sorcerer tower, but it asked me for angelic artifact. So i managed to look after it, but there's nothing else in this region!!! I tried to get back, but the gate ws not letting me go through. Got a message: You must rescue Alania before you can go back this way..or something like this. So i thought that i hace to mad that summoing spiritual of angels first...anyway it needs some angelic artofacts, wich could have been found digged somewhere. But couldn't find more silver oracles hereby...ohhhh...dis sapionting...i stuck..please help...

I made a walkthrough for the map, which can be found in this zip archive. Read it, because it tells you the answer to your questions. If you're then still stuck, you can contact me.

Author: Martin aka Mace the Councillor, mapmaker (Gothenburg, Sweden.), 04-04-2005 15:12 Help for Alexandar! I don't know exactly where you are or what you have done. However, it seems that the major of Melatar has given you the mission to deal with the bandits. Once you have gotten the town of Melatar, you should first visit the Hermit's Hut by the mountain lake in the north. He'll tell you a riddle.
After that, you go back south from the town of Melatar and across the Milau Bridge, which you passed early in the map. Instead of going all the way back to Elorheim, you go west in the mountain passage and you will reach an open field. Go north to a frozen mountain past a Tree of Knowledge to a spot where there initially were an troop of minotaurs (and depending on whether you have defeated them or not, there may still be). Go as far as you can, and you'll be asked whether you want to search for a passage. Answer yes, and the way will open.
This can also be found in the walkthrough found in the zip archive I submitted with the map. Look into the web site document called Necromancer'sTr ailWalkthrough if you get stuck later in the map!
