Defending Irollan - 10 of 10 - Defending Irollan
I've just finished with this map. And I'm completely delighted. It's one of the best custom maps I've ever played.
The only fuck up thing is the trick with the water elementals. I guess it would be better to fix this. E. g. the elementals only appear when the player's going to need them, or you should make them untouchable until this time (in order not to kill or dismiss them by accident). I didn't read the comments before starting the game, so there could have been trouble with the elementals. Luckily, I didn't lose or dismiss them.
BTW, it was my first time having such a big army with many Golden dragons. This is so cool, haha.

Good map with a somewhat annoying end gimmick - Defending Irollan
An excellent story-based map with epic scale battles. Nothing beats killing 500 black dragons with an army low level units and taking zero casualties...

My only complaint is the end trick with the water elementals. After all the epic battles and army building, suddenly finding out you need 50 water elementals (which you may have already killed or dismissed months earlier) in order to proceed felt kind of forced and unnecessary. Maybe edit the map in a way that the elementals only appear when you know you're going to need them, and even put in an elemental conflux as a backup. I only knew to be careful with the elementals because I had read the comments here before playing the map.

Anyway, by and large one of the better custom maps I've played.

Very good map - Defending Irollan
I find this map realy intresting and fun to play. It worked as it should. None of the problems that I read in the comments did happend to me. Found 50 water elements etc. Played it in Heroes 5,5. Shatterd destructive and dwarf artifacts was good help with last fight. Good job mapmaker!!!

A very bad map - Defending Irollan
Its a really stupid, when you passed all the map and for the last step you need only 50 water elements but ... there are no water elements because all of them were killed by the player before that. You should warn about this detail!

Please Read:
This is not about the map, but about some future maps, a set of campains. At first I thaught I let it be a surprise, but I changed my mind and I want to ask you for sugestions: You can tell me something about the storry you would want to see, about some specific objectives you would like to complete. Now here is my version, I'l be short: Nikolay is back from the dead and has a part of the Griffin Empire under siege, he intends to expand the Undead Empire(The Dark Knight). Elsewere, Biara return and kills a Knight(The Awaken). Veyer knows about a future eclipse that wont be predicted by tha Blind Brothers. He intends to invade the Griffin Empire, and be victorious. He does, but meets Biara and eventualy gets killed by her.Duncan gets killed while deffending the Griffin Empire(The Seventh Eclipse). Freyda runns to gather ore troops(Lost Paradise). Raelag passes through the Dead Zone to get to the Silver Cities(The Dead Zone). The Sovrereign - Kha-Beleth finds an ingenious ideea to get out of Hell switching bodies with Nymus(Out of Hell). Now there are two ore thre missions that sems to be a problem:
Vanishing Point: Who would you like to "vanish" Biara at the hands of Nikolay ore backwords, and when that hapends, what should teh final mission be like?
Nikolay(your campain hero) killes Biara and Kha-Beleth, and waits for Raelag and the others to save he empire and anihilates them(The Undead winn the final battle). or Biara(your campain hero) kills Nikolay, she waits for the Sovereign(your second campain hero) arrival. and brings "Heaven in Hell"- a sugestion for the final map name.(The deamons winn). Ore Raelag and the others(Zehir, Freyda, Findan)- Your heroes in the campain - come and be victorious over the Undead Empire/Demons. You can chose. Figure out what sugestion is the best. Tip in the final mission: Tere would be less action if Nikolay ore Sovereign are the campain heroes - You would just have to wait for the "cavalery" to arive and defeate them one and for all. But on the other hand, if you are eith the "good teame" you should have some other objectives besights the one of getting the Griffin Empire to there rightfull owners. I am waiting for sugestions. Please, if there is something that you wana see then tell me. Maby some of you have a better ideea, or some sugestions that might be usefull. Please tell me.

Nebiros Bug is frustrating.
This map should not have been released as it is. The Nebiros bug that crashes the game after defeating Nebiros is a showstopper.

I was enjoying this map until I reached the NW castel. You need to destroy the demon hero, and once you do so, the game hangs and you cannot continue. I just downloaded it, and it was written that this script is corrected now, but i still cannot go ahead. Otherwise, good map, but I really want to finish it.

Defending Irollan
When you land on the NW Island, don't attack any 'demon' troops until you reach the castle. Otherwise, you will need to make the changes Lilybellule did. If you already made the changes, you will need to load sveral turns back. I also went back into the map editor and double checked the changes I made and resaved. I no longer have that problem.
Otherwise, very good map so far!

Nebiros problem solution
As discussed in forum, it is a very good map. Bug after defeating Nebiros comes from script if you kill before Nebiros one of the six dungeon creatures near castle.

Workaround is easy if you are playing and have a good heroe : reload saved game before you arrive on NW island and run to castle without doing anything but taking free resources, kill Nebiros and that's it.

If you read this post before playing, best would be to modify map script which makes HV frozen.

If i have time i will try to propose a script solution tonight.

All means too many
Actually it may cause the problem. Some of the maps created by unexperienced players work like mods and affect entire game - do you remember overpowered Shadow Dragon bug? Maybe that's the case, as some of people give it 10 so it has to work for them.

Nebiros
Game works ok till Nebiros battle. After battle game and PC crashes.

It's pitty since seems to be a good map and I don't think it's something wrong with the game version since my version is fully updated and I have played almost all Heroes V Maps and Campaigns.

To confirm the previous statement in few more words...
Yep, it doesn't work. Or more like it - it does, but only up to the point where you have to defeat the demon Nebiros in order to free the NW elven city. Right after you win the battle, your cursor becomes replaced with the hourglass icon and you can't take any further in-game action.
This seems to be becoming a quite common bug, affecting 2 maps I tried to play lately. I would think the problem might be in my configuration of the game, but obviously the same problem is being experienced by other players too... Any suggestions?
