Have you guys played WoG before?

It includes an editing app inside the game and you can ban any spells you want and more.

You just need to add it to your current HOMM game.

Nice Map - To conquer the world - Heroes 3 map

Well done map, lots of detail, agree with other poster no reason to have tents if you have FLY/DD.

I'd recommend a version with some banned spells (or gettable later so it's easier to clean up at the end). Also buff up computer players, otherwise fun map.

Heroes 4: Equilibris

Ever wondered what happened to Gauldoth Half-Dead, in the time after he killed his former master, Kalibarr? Currious as to why Baron Von Tarkin was so eager to conquer Channon's capital, Rylos? Then take part in this epic adventure that spans over no less than 15 maps, with lots of references to movies, series ect., and with plenty of humorous touches. This campaign will reveal more background story, and continue the stories beyond the official campaigns of the above mentioned heroes, as well as draw strings to many of the other official Re-explore the world of Axeoth and learn how things are tied together, as this campaign tells the story of young Mudgeon. A young man who's about to be apprenticed to a wizard. Perhaps not an exciting plot, but one day his life is changed abruptly, when his family and he himself becomes enmeshed in a tangle of plots, treachery and evil plans to destroy all things living.
In a race against time, Mudgeon's trying to find his family, solve mysteries and fight evil. Eventually he realizes that he is just a small piece of a puzzle with more than a 1,000 pieces. The destiny of the whole world, does not lie on his shoulders, but with the help of his faithful followers, they assume their responsibility for making the world a safer place... For their own sake, of course.

With hectic car chases made on horseback, breathtaking sword fights, magical duels and convincingly good acting, one can not help but empathize with the story. The whole thing is supported by plenty of impressive special effects.
A pure rollercoaster ride. As a player you become pushed down in the office chair and glued to the screen. Lots of tension, small incident, varied goals / missions, and multiple choice options, prevents this campaign from ever being boring.

Map 4 - Stuck with Loromir toothpick - The Tale of Young Mudgeon
I haven't found any long object to do the job except the halberd that the soldier's quest took.
Any clue?

toothpick for Loromir - The Tale of Young Mudgeon

The Halbard is the object you need to give Loromir as a toothpick. If you finished the Soldiers quest before, letting Loromir use it as a toothpick, you should either revisit Loromir's quest hut or the Soldiers quest hut. Then the soldier will give you the Halbard. This issue was mentioned by another player and I will try to clarify it, in a upcomming update. Also note the attached txt document with hints and help regarding being stuck.



The Tale of Young Mudgeon walkthrough

All files in the data folder must be copied into the Data folder, 3DOHeroesofMightandMagicIVData to get optimal benefit from this campaign. Keep a copy of the folder's original new_mod.h4r file to keep the original portraits.
This campaign requires the Equilibris Mod, which can be downloaded here: http://equilibris.celestialheavens.com/eng/downloads.html

I strongly recommand that you keep all files/chapters in the folder The Tale of Young Mudgeon. Simply place the folder in your 'maps' folder and it will show up in game as a seperate folder named The Tale of Young Mudgeon.


KEEP IN MIND THAT:
- If you feel stuck, you should try checking the win condition. It may have changed or may indicate what to do.
- It can save lives, if you change your hero's place (there are 7 different slots).
- It can also save lives if you choose to flee or surrender.
- You can drink many of the potions on the world map and not only in battle.
- Killing enemy heroes with Tactics skills, will remove the bonuses enemy creatures got from any tactics skills the hero has.
- You can use the marketplace to exchange resources.
- You should read the text carefully. Lots of hints and important information can be found in the texts (consider taking notes of certain information.)

If you like to read texts, the little incident, etc. it often pays to save before visiting quests to see the possible different outcome. Load and select another answer or don't forfill the 'requirements'/bring what they want. Remember to re-visit the quest cabins and the likes before/after you complete it - they occasionally have some funny comments. Right click on a heroes portrait in the inventory screen to read their biography.


Did you know that you can dismiss heroes, by pressing D in Army Screen? Also you can rename a hero in the Tavern by clicking on the heroes name and pressing Backspace.





KNOWN ISSUES / MINOR BUGS:

Map 4:
- It is not always the Alchemist quest works as intended. At the wrong answer(s), you should be attacked by either a Magi/Ogre (depending on outcome). It may help to load and try again.
- Loromir should appear in his cave (Mega Dragon). If he doesn't, then you may try to load. Note however that this does not affect the game if he appears or not, but merely is a "graphic detail".
- Quest hut requirering Scroll of Excorcism, will accept any Scroll as Scroll of Exorcism. Known Heroes IV bug.

Map 1: The Apprentice

- There is a hidden Leather armor hidden behind a tree in the lower left (southwest).
- If you choose the book as a starting bonus and reach Expert Order Magic you will get a bonus in the form of Cap of Knowlegde.
- If you reach Expert Order Magic and subsequent visits Mudgeons parents' hut you get Wizard's Ring.
(Both artifacts are transferred through the entire game).
- Most/all mines (depending on difficulty) will change to neutrals 2 days after the construction of the Citadel. Construction will happen automatically once you have the needed resources (7500 gold, 10 wood, 10 ore + Fort: 5000 gold, 20 wood, 20 ore). Citadel can be constructed from day 24.
- (For Expert/Champion) Creature banks (Forest Glenns etc.) respawn 1 month and 1 day after being cleared. So don't clear the banks on the last day of month 1.
- You'll get a little more resources from defeating the banks near the end of first month and then again near the end of second month, than from defeating them only once (near the end of second month).





Map 2: The Final Test

- If you catch all 5 fish in the put & take lake, you will find some weapons a fish has swallowed and get + 1 luck bonus (carried over). Note: The number of attempts it takes to catch all the fish will vary from game to game.
- Fishing net to catch sprites with can be acquired at the put & take hut (trading post).
- Remember to visit the elves after the white tiger quest is completed, to get access to the forest's heart.
- Hidden Ruby of Offense can be found among Treetop Lodge.
- Visit the Ent who is plagued by mice after the falcon is sent off to get the reward from the Ent (+ 1 level) or one Nature/Scouting skill if level cap has already been reached.
- Remember that you can buy Potions of Immortality at the blacksmith.






Map 3: Don't Pee In The Water

- If you burn down the tavern, you get Fireproof boot + campfire. (Alternatively, visit the tavern on Day 5).
- You can always reclaim your start town without fighting. The monks are loyal to Bakrus (Bakrus only), they just need to be reminded that he is still on their sidez (Note: Doesn't work if any enemy hero is staying in the town).
- If Bakrus carries troops (not monks) for 5 days, he is attacked by a large group of ghosts and WILL die. He (Bakrus) can not complete his task if he is not alone, but if he has monks and other troops with him or just keep them close, Bakrus won't be attacked by ghosts, but can stand a better chance of defeating the wandering monsters. Once he starts poisoning, Bakrus can't sleep with his troops for X days in a row, but he has no problems travelling with them.
NOTE HOWEVER that Bakrus can not use his stealth skill if he has troops with him.
- Your opponent will gain access to the northeastern city when you have poisoned the first well. (except on expert/champion)
- You can beg/commit burglaries in houses in Farmerville, depending on whether it is Bakrus/Monks or Kineta/bandits who visit the houses.
- The quickest route to poison the wells is: Angel Falls/Vail's Gate, Dursey, Lenceros, Paradise, Farmerville and the water source
- With 2 Equestrian's Gloves and GM Pathfinding Bakrus gets 45 movement. Bandits increases it to 46. Rally Flag will increase it to 48 for a month. Visit Stables to increase to 58 for two weeks. Daily Endurance spell gives an extra 6 = 64 movements. Visit a Trough to reach a total of up to 78 for one day.
- Entering a mine costs no movement points (except for approaching it). Exiting a mine costs no movement points either.
- On Expert and Champion you're not allowed to attack enemy towns.
- Once you start poisoning, you're also not allowed to flee/surrender (Expert/Champion).






Map 4: The Homecoming

- In the lower right corner is an Emerald of Speed, behind the trees with the purple bird.
- Some purple songbirds may indicate hidden objects.
- In the upper left corner is an Emerald of Speed to the right of the tunnel.
- Find Hubert's missing bones (kill the 3 ceberus) and don't search Ezsebeths corpse (let her skeleton be). Go to the cemetery, then Mudgeon buries the villagers (when the "curse" is lifted) to get a hidden bonus (up to +3 morale) which carries over throughout the game.
- Find the enchanted frog (just above 'Muuhtant son') and raise his curse to get Unnatural Shield/Armour (carried over throughout the game)
- Altar of Nature Magic is 'hidden' to the left of the Hydra Pond in the swamp.
- Find the soldier's Halberd and deliver it to him within 7 days to get +2 luck bonus, carried over throughout the game (do not scratch it, by letteing Loromir use it as a toothpick first).
- Visit the soldier before approaching his Halberd or you'll miss his +2 luck bonus.
- At Cloverfield, you can find a Four Leaf Clover (+1 luck).
- The neutrals' attacks on your towns are Tonwen's work. When you enter enemy territory, find and kill her as soon as possible.









Map 5: Friend or Foe

- To the east, below Red's Garrison, follow the path between the trees, to discover a hidden path (to the pyramid) - Not on Expert/Champion..
- Visit the dying Tree of Knowledge near Stronghold town to gain +2 levels with a single hero.
- In the underworld, follow the lower route to reach Sandor and the Demonary.
- Novice: Don't miss the quest hut near where Moorgue starts. You won't be coming back down there!
- Consider buying some secondary heroes, either for the extra spells or the extra income.
- Don't waste your time looking for Ice Bolt or Firebolt. They were banned from this map along with some other spells that would be too good or totally useless on this map.
- Vials of Poison ignore Magic Resistance, which makes them quite effective against enemy heroes.






Biographys

MUDGEON:
As the son of a blacksmith and a fool, Mudgeon said "this soap is not a tool." His mind he stood to lose, because of branches, twigs and booze. With a dream of becoming a mighty sorcerer, but with a fear of being turned into soap water, he then went to Vilingu to learn the powers of good, however, without knowing that something was afoot. He rode there on a beautiful horse, and brought along: a clean criminal record of course. (Mudgeon appears in Heroes IV - original picture and name)


BAKRUS:
Bakrus was once a street corner con-man who preached that the end of the world was near while picking the pockets of those who stopped to listen. Who would have guessed he would be right? The irony of the Reckoning was not lost on him, so he has dedicated his life to the priesthood.... But old habits are known to be hard to break. (His biography is his original biography. Only last line is added. This made Bakrus a perfect cast for the role)

KINETA:
Kineta has trouble retaining her interest in any one job for long, so she has dipped her fingers into just about everything from merchant, to thief, to spy. It doesn't matter what she's doing as long as it is fun, and her idea of fun usually involves some form of wanton destruction.


AGRAYNEL:
Born in a small woodland village, Agraynel lost both of her parents in an attack by a neighboring kingdom. She chose to become a bard both to honor her parents by keeping their memory alive through song, and to record history from the perspective of the common people. (Agraynel is borrowed from "Another Bard's Tale" - The Gathering Storm)

DAMALA:
Damala recently died by a poisoning. Her father was human and her mother elven. Now she has arisen from her grave and wanders restlessly around in Farmerville, to which she of unexplained reasons, feels drawn to. (This role was created entirely from the fact that Damala is an undead elf)

MORREX:
Morrex was a friend of Mudgeon’s father. Now he wanders restlessly around in Farmerville. (Morrex is one of the few bi-characters who actually appear as a hero, but without the player likely ever noticing this at any time. He has no custom portrait though).

TANERU:
Taneru is Tonwen’s right hand and faithful follower. Beside that they're lovers.

TONWEN:
Tonwen was out casted by the wood elves after having killed several white tiger cups, in order to forge magical weapons of their fur, for Taneru. Ever since her exclusion she has sworn revenge over the wood elves.

N'AGUALI:
Very little is known about N'Aguali

SHADDAR:
Shaddar is a Master Wardancer (the name is taken from the game Sacred)

CHIARA:
Chiara is a swamp elven group leader

AHANIAN:
Grandmaster Wardancer, group leader

NAGINI:
Standard Bearer (moral increaser) (name is taken from Harry Potter)

MATHON, PIUS, TAIN:
Wardancer (the term Wardancer is taken from Warhammer)

NOMUSA:
Orange group leader. Master of setting up traps.

KAIA, ODIAN:
Waywatcher (the term Waywatcher is taken from Warhammer. Waywatchers are masters of hiding and setting up traps.)

The rest of the swamp elves has their original biographies.


BARON VON TARKIN:
"So many living, so little time." Such is the lament of the Baron Von Tarkin. Having become discontented over the decades with his own small kingdom, the Baron now seeks to rid the world of all living things, converting them instead to a vast army of the undead. (Original biography - kindly borrowed from Death March campaign)

MOORGUЙ: (MOoRGUE, morgue)
After the arrival to this new world, Moorguй had begun feeling a fear, he'd never felt before. The destruction of the old world had made Moorguй realize that nothing last forever. And Moorguй had become an aging man. He had not been able to find a place for himself in this new world that could match the respect and honor he had achieved in the old world. How could he be able to rebuild the fame and reputation he had worked his entire life to create? He began questioning if immortality could be the answer. A life after death would ensure him enough time to rebuild his reputation, but also open opportunities for more than that. In time Moorguй had to realize that the easiest way to understand death was to get involved with the dead or become part of them.

AEDTH: (DEATH)
Aedth uses his pretty face to charm young women who unsuspecting throw themselves in his merciless arms.

RESTINUR GRAVEZ: (REST-IN-yoUR-GRAVEz)
Restinur secretly works as a spy for Baron Von Tarkin.

RESTINA COFFНСAY: (REST-IN-A-COFFIn-NAY) (NAY/NO)
(No special biography)

MUNKAR & NAKIR:
The names of two succubae (female demons) borrowed from Clive Barkers "Saint Sinner".

MANNFRED VON CARSTEIN:
The name is borrowed from Warhammer. (There are no special biographies for the many members of the Von Carstein family).
