The King died without an heir. The Undead have returned. The Kingdom - now a formality for the rivaling Houses of Men - is being looted by Lizards, Orcs and Demons, while the Forest Folk are leaving these once blessed, wealthy lands... Is there a leader who would return peace? Perhaps a true King?

Took on the challenge with the Red flag team, apart the Necros (in the end) and the Blue/Orange countless raids down the whirpools, it was pretty easy map, even with income deductions. I'd highly offer to use the Diplomasy Skill, if you're playing this map,get you set for the 2nd month and so on. Had 2 heroes with me in this one Orrin with an army of 81 Archangels, 1460 Zealons, 19 Gold Dragons, 29 Champions and 100 Black Dragons. As for Astral, he was my back up hero, with an army of 94 Black Dragons, 8 Archangels, 112 Crusaiders, 170 Minotaurs, 41 Green Dragons and 173 Griffins.
Author: Adam Snow (Greymead, IL), 07-05-2014 19:12 Great Pictures seem to be okay now. I really love the text here and there. Corners seem to be stronger than Orange and Tan, but the "horde" of whirlpools makes the game really interesting. Make sure to take griffs to the sea!

Also, map pictures are not correct: Underworld has more caves and paths in it!
Author: Martin S. (Prague), 20-04-2014 15:02 Great map Thank you very much for this map. I started with red, but did not finish with red, because he has a distinct disadvantage (all money deducted at the end of every week). The other players do not seem to be limited in this way.
Then I played with pink and with pink it was much easier. My best hero ended up with 7k skeletons and some 2k power lich (with Cloak of the Undead King).

Thank you for the comment. All player's receive several events, but the deduction is 7000 gold only in case of red. In exchange, they receive extra troops. If you have less than 7000 gold, it will - of course - take all the gold. If you want a Castle with less events, take Purple!
Also, read the event texts! You will be able to anticipate events better!
The Kingdom of Mirkwood walkthrough
The map is not fully symmetric, but is surprisingly well balanced, my friend and I tested it several times. Overall, it should favour the bold and more vigilant players. There are many events for each Town and each Player receives different bonuses, so it is worth playing several times. Players 1-6 are suggested for Multiplayer FFA and Player 7 and Player 8 for fun (or Deus Ex Machina).
