Author: Tormalchio (Finland), 20-03-2024 15:54 Like A lovely chore - Return of the damned Haven't yet finished (guess this is an updated version of the map, regarding the messages of beating the map in 5-6 motnhs and enemies being weak), but it's been a fun journey! First try I just quit when I thought I was doing well with dozens of Azure dragons and such just to get ran over by some enemy with 600 of them :D
I might be a bit lazy player, not too keen on micromanaging all the dwellings and such, mainly explore with main hero and try to keep him op, so it's hard to keep up with enemies gathering thousands troops of every level, but now I finally got the Angel wings and Horn on month 18 so I think it'll start to be more like a walk in the park from now on, it's been fun!

And wanted to add: the map is beautifully built, so much detail with how all the routes and the map overall works, so much more strategy and adventure in moving than in most of the maps I've played!

I played cove but the first event says i will get a city with grail but until the end of the game i never found any city with a grail. And I think there are too many minor artifacts so when Ai heroes get full bag of artifacts they seem to roam aimlessly and from that moment the game gets super easy. Great map anyway

used the same strategy with getting early DD and horn on month 5 on defender hero with ironfist of ogre/fire shield (3rd attack was succesfull).

So i boosted the AI, considerably - and shortened the time pink will be released from 12 to 8 months. the new map version should be up here in a day or two.

Map is lovely tho and i'm tempted to go into editor and make it so each battle is a real thought process

Author: Mrkfa (Czech Republic), 14-12-2022 00:08 Thanks - Return of the damned Thank you for you feedbacks, this map was first i created and i had some troubles completing it. I simply moved from a player starting area to another starting area, and managed to run out of various items and structures i could squeze in map, event points aswell. Those i originaly used to boost AI through map, but i had to remove a great number of them as i did progress. It took a lot of time and i was in no mood for a greater structure changes in map. I ll save the experience for another maps, i just started to make another one, it will take time though :). Looks like i ll need to make AI stronger in next one

A nice map a bit similar to Element Land with lots of boxes, quests and huge army fights. The map is more like a quests with heroes mechanics rather than classical heroes 3 gameplay.
This takes a lot of efforts to create smth like that.
PS Possible improvements (spoilers below):
I think this could be a good idea to make AI a bit stronger. I effectively finished on month 5. After that it was just collecting remaining quests and eliminating AIs with res/sleep combo. Also, eliminated pink on month 6 and collected his dragon joins.
Author: Corwin (Czech Republic), 12-12-2022 00:04 Like Very nice map! - Return of the damned I love these kinds of maps. Big with lots of things to do, quite balanced and with each town having its own identity and playstyle. This one is not too hard though, especially if you manage to get some stats faster than opponents and you get a ton of army from quests which just snowballs to total domination.
It is however very good map, I definitely recommend and I hope you'll make more maps like this! :)
