You lead a squad of Knights Temporal on a Search and Rescue Mission to the planet Terminix. Your orders are to locate and return with survivors of the previous Scientific Mission, who broke contact some 90 days ago ... after some most unsettling messages regarding the local fauna.
Author: brother angus (germany), 07-02-2025 17:37 classic! - Bug Hunt I've loved this map since way back. Using the Aliens crew in a space-fantasy setting is nothing short of brilliance, the map has its tough parts (those *pesky* "bugs") but mainly is just really fun to play and also makes the most of its relatively small size.
Bug Hunt walkthrough
DESCRIPTION: You are the reluctant leader of a squad of Knights Temporal, just landed on the distant planet Terminex to attempt the rescue of a lost Scientific Mission. All signs indicate the lost party was taken by the indigenous lifeforms, an unintelligent species of flying snakes that the troops immediately begin to refer to as "Bugs". Your assignment is to find out what happened to the Scientific Mission and bring back any survivors. Since the likelihood of anything surviving on this forsaken mudball seems pretty low, you figure this whole operation amounts to just another Bug Hunt.
TEN TIPS (NO SPOILERS):
1. Choose your game difficultly carefully. Resources
are scarce at first.
2. Don't rely on the autopath. The best way is not
always the shortest.
3. Take good care of your heroes. You will not get
to recruit "Erathian" heroes until later on.
4. If an opponent seems too tough, look for a way to
get around them. When the terrain blocks you, look
for another way to travel.
5. There's plenty of magic. You just have to work
for it.
6. Bold moves are often rewarded.
7. Be careful opening Boxes. The Imps may or may not
be real, but they can still scratch your eyes out.
8. There are only a few armies that keep growing.
9. When you get to the Underworld, your game is about
half over.
10. "The game's not over till it's over." - Yogi Berra
