You made a post about this map on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/heroes3/comments/1k92ej3/custom_maps/?rdt=47961) and I decided to check it out.
Chose to play it with Factory as I saw that Frederick was available as a starting hero.
I played trough it on YouTube, it took me a bit more than 10 hours to beat: https://www.youtube.com/live/w8dfizuPhTI
The best part of this map was that it naturally forces you to have multiple main heroes, as you need to explore both your main lands undergrounds as well as contend the middle water strip as it's filled with great rewards. Because there's 3 different AI's contending the middle you're also incentivized to avoid fighting them immediately and go for the loot. I like this design idea.
I would recommend this map to others as it's in a playable state and offers you an experience that is different from what you'd get from a regular Heroes 3 map.

Hello, I am glad you liked my map.
I saw your video on youtube and I subscribed too. I think you are a great player. I dig the slow, cautious way you approached the map ;)
I am currently cooking my second map, it is going to be a large challenge map, thematic, with water and underground as well. Very different from Voidwalker but still you are welcome to check it out.

Author: Jeff (United States), 24-04-2025 02:24 Like it was fun! - Voidwalker I saw your post on Reddit and decided to check it out. Well-designed and fairly simple to figure out the layout. Got easy by the middle/end game, just hunting down towns- but there was cool stuff to explore along the way.
It's a pet peeve, but I dislike when landmasses are all straight angles/squares. Probably could have rounded them off a bit and made them more like islands!
Never did find town portal, but it was easy enough to keep getting back to the towngate in the middle when needed. Finished in just under 6 months with stronghold!

(6m 3w i think, played Inferno)
Liked the early game quite a lot, lategame was a bit tedious, but was pretty much over once I found the town portal.
Beat the final dragons via berserk + orb.
The ai posed almost zero threat, they just kept taking the mid towns which was kinda annoying (hence the tedious late game), but solved itself once town portal was available.
Lot of quests, but the rewards were often not very meaningful, like when you get corpucopia from titan's thunder, or when you just get random resources.
Overall fun map, very impressive for your first map :)

Author: Ja Rite (United States), 26-03-2025 12:55 Like Great Map - Voidwalker Played on Impossible as inferno Zydar main. Used the 16,000 implosion and 9,000 damage chain lightning at the end to good effect.
Only problem at the end was finding the final cities etc. but overall had a great time beat on month 7 week 2 day 7 but a month or more was just cleanup.

I did find Town Portal, just got lucky eventually.
At the end I owned all but 2 underground cities one on the left center and the other on the right center of the map that no one had taken. One was a too well guarded necro city I didn't bother with, the other I never mapped out. There were a lot of quests I didn't do and some quests I did do that were tough fights for no reward so I didn't bother trying more.
Buffing the guards and the enemies would be ok and maybe breaking the sets, it wasn't hard to get Angelic Alliance and Ogrefist.

Oh I hear you about the quests, and that necro town you mention I think is the alt win condition (guarded by 4k ghost dragons).
See, the quests make sense if you know the way I intend you to play the map. Different strategies are very welcome of course! Basically I recruit a second hero with little army doing the hives and these quests and they can become really strong and take a powerful side objective ! (I dont want to spoil more ahahah)
