Managed to win it in 5m2w3d 160% with castle. Was a challange for me because i'm not that used to play with many heroes. This one i went banana with 4 main heroes. Made a mistake near the end and prolonged the game with about 2-3 weeks. Also, it was a pain to take out red because i've missed somehow one of his towns in the main land. And this added 7 more days. However, nice map, thanks.
Author: The Edge (NZ), 23-07-2012 08:14 Like The Edge This aint harry potter mate, how could it have more to do with lotr? heroes 3 is limited and i personally cant be assed questing my way through a map... im old school and i like Deathmatch. The point of this map is so you can vs ur friends at hotseat and each faction presents its challenges. Imagine if there was no mountain to mark mount doom? A random generated map... are u drunk? I guess u are right i could have left the bits blank that arnt in the movie, but how lame would that be...

It has very little - if anything at all - to do with LOTR; except for the fact that the towns and heroes all have LOTR names, it seems to be nothing more than a random-generated map with a few hand-made extras here and there. No story line, no process, nothing.
Mount doom is a seer I happen to pass along the way, with a little sign next to it...
I appreciate map makers and I am very grateful for their hard work, but this map is overrated. 6/10

Its great that this map is being downloaded so much. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making and playing it; and a big thanks to my girlfriend for play testing it soooo much.

I initially did about half the landscape on a large map first then i realized it was too small for all the detail so i had to start over arrghh!. But I tweaked the landscape for ages to get it right for Heroes. I also played Lord of the Rings Risk quite a bit so I was aware of what worked strategically with the Middle Earth design.
