This map is fun and challenging throughout. Many secret and interesting areas to explore even on medium size.

The idea with the rightmost portal is that it should be harder to get to the first time requiring the summon boat spell on the left. But afterwards it should be easier using the water walk spell it leads to. Its a high reward area.
But as the map maker its definitely easier for me to know this ahead of time when play testing, so I understand the problem. I might update it in future if I think if a better design. Glad you enjoyed it overall.

The central struggle zone in the underworld that grants access to the portal bottom left of upperground is very well designed. The dynamism of the map is great.
Very great placement of town portal doors throughout the map.
Great choices of artifacts as well.
I give it 9/10 the only thing bad is rightmost portal of the map with poor access, could be updated.
Let's say it's a little poorly advertised. When you reach this point in the game you are powerful enough not to bother with a lvl 1 spell shrine ;)
i completely missed it coming from bottom left (playing dungeon); when you find the hut that gives you visions from eyes you understand your underground topleft exit is topleft upperground and the road goes eastward so it's sorta the last spot you check
i would move it into the zone with the three prisons so there's a sign that this item is important more than having it laying around close to less important items (lepperchaun hut and elemental conflux)
that is my only criticism otherwise i really enjoy the map. great map!
if possible you could do a version 3v1 where you're allied to the other underground factions so you could boost the red player even more. maybe have red start with the dwellings close to his castles flagged already so he can accumulate more.
