Author: Karl, 24-07-2024 03:56 Well made maps - World at War As the name suggested, it's recommended for Heroes 5.5 or at least fast AI pack installed.
Large maps, all factions are available and starting biomes are well designed for each faction. The map probably favors heroes with great early game (e.g., Academy Havez) since you start with literally nothing AND factions with great late game (e.g., Necropolis) since you have 8 heroes covering huge areas.
Overall, I enjoyed the map and it's replayable: fun to figure out strengths & weaknesses of heroes/factions. It did not take me 13 months like others since I used strong early game heroes (and restarted a bit for a favorable starting biome ;) )

More details - World at War
Memory Mentor accessible.
Only one castle for each faction.
Lots of artifacts.
Creature growth is bit slow -> most late game challenges are battles with other factions' main heroes, usually at their castles.
Author: Den (Ukraine), 11-04-2022 21:45 Like Good design - World at War Awesome work with a landscapes. Played wiyh 5.5 mod, but stacks grow too slow to be chalenging.
Author: Markus (London), 10-04-2021 04:47 Well - World at War I gave it another try and in terms of challenging its fine but only till 13 month. Then u have to deal with super fast growing armies. For example 22k of green dragons and 80k of druids- I thought was fine for my 550 red dragons so I came back to that place week later with my army and I spotted 30k green dragons, and 100k of druids - just grow that big only in one week (9k of dragons can kill my 500 in one blow)-so it is pointless to play after 13th month, and its hard to imagine play less time on impossible size of map
Author: Helena (Utrecht, NL), 10-03-2018 21:50 needs mod - World at War Judging by the name of the file I suspect this is a map to be played with the Heroes 5.5 mod. Since playing there is much more challenging it may well be that without the mod it is too simple.
Author: !!! (Moscow, Russia), 11-02-2018 14:14 It does not work - World at War Game does not work. It breaks.
Author: Markus (London), 11-02-2018 12:00 unbalanced, not challenging - World at War Not bad design, played dungeon (heroic lvl), all fine, but natural stacks are to easy to defeat - result of that is the 95% of them are beaten by AI an there is no one to fight with, which is annoying on impossible size of map, where during the travels there is noone around to fight with. Only gate/passage guards are challenging
Just some early thoughts. Play the map in 2 PCs. The least powerfull one struggles every turn, the map is a real monster :-) Markus had hit the spot about neutrals. Already 25 level, explored only a tiny part of the map, ofcourse no sign of enemies, and the neutral monsters are already lame. Doesn't feel challenging at all. Maybe there was a mistake in weekly growth rate of the neutrals, i don't know. I'm always happy to see new maps, and graphically looks very promissing, i'll keep playing it in my power PC to see more of it, but i strongly recomend that you upadate some fix about the random map creatures power.

work in progress - World at War
hey there, we're testing the map on a weekly basis. The mod made some adjustments necessary and we're progressing. Upload in some weeks. Maybe a modified .pak for creatures will be added for good.

Thank you... - World at War
...for your efforts. Excuse my critique if it's annoying, but i'm doing it because you did a great job artistically, and it should be also great as a playing experience.

Tweaking and perfecting it is half the fun - World at War
It'll take some time creating a mod/h5m but we'll continue working on it.
