This was really a fun map! i played solo at hardest was kinda a challenge but with necro u kinda just snowball. i won in 10 months . Great work. love to see more maps like this :) it would be much harder to win if u werent playing necro^^ 10/10 more...
While doing the map I noticed many AI blocking with caravans, and if I take cities I get many caravans from enemy AI. It seems AI is not able to manage caravans, to a point it create traffic jams and make the game very slow: probably what creates my savegame unloadable too. more...
Sorry to say that, the map blocked after I beat the 3rd player too (with a relatively small army on my necromancy hero - 4k skeletons-170 vampires-30 dragons-500 spiders- 200 lamasu), I'm not able to reload a savegame.
My Pc is decent, 8Gb Ram + Radeon HD8750 with addition 2Gb DDR5 Ram.
Nice map. I liked the ideas of spell learning and picking secondary skills for 2 main heroes.
I finished in 205 days, using the horn, rushing. Didn't get the Grail, AI found it before, so 442 points this time.
At the very end, I had to cheat a bit, since I could not find black tent needed t more...
I found myself chasing AI until I lost interest... I appreciate the time invested to make and test the map, but it is far from enjoyable (at least for me). I suppose giving town portal, blind and animate dead would make it too easy, but chasing around AI is really not an alternative. more...

Hi - I'm trying to find the Tear of Asha in the Tears of Ossir map, I've defeated all enemy troops but can not find a way to win this scene. Anyone got suggestions? (PLEASE)

Regarding Town Portal, it only ports to the nearest town if unoccupied. If the town is occupied (hero in the visiting army slot), the spell is greyed out. It would be helpful to know the town name before you cast the spell, as it's not always clear which town is closest. Note furthermore that towns on different levels (underground or above ground) are considered just as if they're all on the same level, for as far as relative distance is considered.
Hi Fans Heroes V ..
i'm sorry to ask but iwant to learn more about town portal spell, is it can be use to travel between another town?coz the spell I got is only moving the heroes to nearest friendly town. Thanks for the informaton

Campaign 2 Inferno - Mission 1 "The Betrayal"
Take the 8 cerberi, they're pretty useful.
This scenario is all about speed - so you have little time to explore the entire map. This is not intended as a complete guide, but rather just a walkthrough. If you want to explore more of the map, feel free to do so. Either way, you'll need a significant army at the end of the scenario, so it's important that you preserve your troops through good tactics. Most Inferno creatures can, depending on your Demon Lord's Gating skill, gate in more troops - that is one way of maximizing the potential of your army. When gaining a level, take the Gating skill upgrades.
Follow the road south until you see some priests guarding the Boots of the Swift Journey. Kill the priests and pick up the boots and the campfire. Enter the Hut of the Magi; you'll see a Red Keymaster Tent. This is your first target. Continue south to the Witch Hut and learn Logistics, then head east at the crossroad and kill the conscripts.
At the start of day 3, Godric (and his insanely large army) appears at your starting point. You can, of course, not allow yourself to get caught by Godric or Rutger (who appears in the north western corner). You should try to keep yourself as far away from them as possible. If they get too close to you, try to seek refuge in a Sanctuary.
Continue eastwards to the war dancers and past them, along the grassy path in the forest. At the other side, next to the Redwood Observatory, is a stack of hell hounds waiting to join you. Head down the south western path towards the Archers Tower and turn east and then south to enter the Stables. South of the Stables is a Crystal of Revelation, kill the skeleton archers and head east to get some cerberi to join you. You should also have time to visit the Dolmen of Knowledge and get the treasure chest guarded by the squires.
Head back, past the Stables, and turn east along the road. Turn south on the other side of the mountains, towards the footmen. Eliminate them and continue south past the Sanctuary to fight the minotaurs. Get the Red Keymaster Tent and the treasure chest. Go through the portal, through the Red Border Guard and down through the Subterranean Gate Entrance.
Once undergound, kill the plague zombies and take their gold. Turn north west and get the troops from the Demon Tower. At this point your credit balance is important. I had about 4500 gold and was able to buy all the available troops from here on. If you have less than 4500 gold, you should consider not buying the demons as there are better creatures ahead. Head north and kill the vampires so you can snatch their gold. Continue north to another Demon Tower and get some cerberi to join you. Keep heading north until you get to some Howling Kennels. Buy all of them and head south west to an Imp Crucible. From here on it's straight south, ignoring the fire elementals, until you get to a Hill Fort guarded by some wights. Kill them and upgrade as many of your troops as possible.
Follow the tunnel as it bends to the south west, past the water elementals and the Artifacts' Merchant (the scenario is nearly over and the artifact doesn't carry over). Kill the spectral dragons and get experience from the treasure chest (you won't need any more gold in this scenario). Only thing left to do is to head up the stairs and hope you've brought enough troops. Good luck.

The Queen - The Siege
When I played I chose the 15 archers, since most of the low-level demons are fairly slow and I like to thin out their numbers, while they cross the battlefield. You might want to take the 10 ore resources, as there are no ore mines on the map (more on this below). Anyhow, choose as you see fit - you can easily complete the scenario whatever your choice is.
You start just outside Ashwood, your starting town (also the only town on the map). Start by building a tavern to get an extra hero and a few extra creatures for Isabel. Send Isabel east and start eliminating the demon forces, while your newly acquired hero flags the nearby dwellings (3 peasant huts and 1 barracks) and picks up the resources lying around Ashwood. The primary task for your 2nd hero will be to visit the many dwellings on the map and take troops to Isabel, so she won't need to return to Ashwood too often.
Just east of Ashwood Isabel encounters the first demon scouts: imps! Defeat them and head southeast where you'll meet more imps. Further south is a sawmill that will be useful. The sawmill is guarded by peasants, who join you. North of Isabel's position is an archer tower, but it's guarded by a huge stack of hell hounds, so you might want to avoid it until you have some more troops. You should continue to head east, while flagging all the dwellings you pass. You should be safe if you keep to the forest and grass areas. Along the perimeter of the forest is a mountain range with lots of undeads that guard various treasures, if the stacks are too hard to defeat, just ignore them for now and come back later - your primary concern is the demons.
A general note about this map is that all Haven creature stacks around the map will join you (with the exception of a few, who guard treasure and resources). All of these Haven creature stacks combined with the many dwellings should also help Isabel's army increase constantly as you progress.
Build a Jousting Arena and upgrade it: The Jousting Arena costs 6000 gold, 10 wood and 10 crystals and requires Stables and Town Level 12 to build. If you're having trouble getting the crystals, you can build the Resource Silo, which provides 1 crystal each day. You should try to build a Capitol as soon as possible, to ensure sufficient funds to buy all the creatures in Ashwood before the final fight. You can build most dwellings in Ashwood (except the Monastery and Altar of Light) and you should do that.
Clear the area of enemy scouts: Basically you need to roam around the countryside slaying demons as you can find them (that's a nice way to spend an afternoon). Don't forget to visit the various power ups around the map, while you're exploring the map. There are 11 stacks of demon scouts and I suggest you save the stack of archdevils for last (located in the northeastern corner of the map), as this triggers the final objective of this scenario: Defeat the enemy army.
Defeat the enemy army: Make sure you bring a good host of troops with you to the battle against the archdevils. After the fight, there's a small cutscene with the Demon Lord revealing himself - head further east to fight him and ultimately win the scenario.

Let's see... you have 440 hunters.
For a full-built town you get 14 hunters per week, and you have 2 towns + the hunter cabin. Mostly you get 35 hunters weekly.
This means that you have probably allowed at least 13 weeks to pass (should be more because you build towns up from scratch). So you are at least week 2 month 4, or realistically somewhere in month 5-6.
That's a little slow.

actually this is the fastest i can go to defeat nicolai, i got him cornered at his castle for about 2 weeks with 6k skel archer, 700 ghost, 250 lich, 160 wraith, 390 vampire, and 123 spec dragons, and i have 2 heroes to defeat him, my first hero is "orson" lv 25 necromancer with 500 zombies, 38 green dragons, 600 pixies, 500 blade dancers, 21 spec dragons, 52 wraiths, and 350 ghost, my other hero is findan with 440 hunter, 1,2k skel archer, 220 druid elder, 130 treants, 130 unicorn, 250 vampire, and 60 lich. and i took logistic, light magic, leadership, and luck for his skills. is it okay??? or should i take other skills like destructive magic? or maybe i should restart and try faster..? maybe i was a little bit slow at the beginning....

What do you have, and what does he have? What is your Findan build and what time is it that you face Nicolai? Usually people would advise you to rush as fast as you can.
However, I've heard that sometimes people see tens of thousands of spectral dragons in Nicolai's army. This is probably a bug.

After making sure you've got the required creatures and freed the heroes, hire a few heroes (any will do) and walk them out of the castle. That made 'Mission Complete' trigger for me.
I'm stuck in Sylvan campaign, 3 mission The Defence. My defence is strong and accepted as completed objective. I have freed the two heroes and beaten every army and castle on the map. It doesnt accept that I completed the freeing of the heroes or the "defend the city" objectives. I assume it wont complete the defend objective, since the enemies keep coming, but how do I make it understand that both heroes are free. One is defending the capital and I can only garrison one hero at a time in a city!
Hey. there.. Im stuck in campaign 4 mission. How the hell do i beat the heroe who comes underground. Im stuck and iff go up again the orange player is waiting for me. Please guys and girls. Give me a usefull hint!!!! Thx anyone

Oh man i survived the initial assault from the succumbus hero but i didnt manage to survive the 2nd assault. I am not sure how is it possible to survive. Both heroes have unmatched luck which is very irritating. Their army size is overly large too. Is it possible to win the campaign without the sylvan town? This is for the sylvan campaign mission 2, the emerald ones

I think you have to start over . I saved (luckly) right before fighting Isabel and had a hard fight. I won, yet it said "you loose". So i reloaded, brought all my heroes close to Isabel and fought her again. This time it was easy as hell...
Game is unfortunatly bugged somewhere/sometimes.
Last map can be a freaking nuciance! Findan kicked sovreigns ass pretty fast (expert warmachines = smashy smashy on magic wall). Zehir almost got killed cause of the damn nightmares (12 nightmares kill 2 titans with each hit?!?!). Only reason i won was because of the conjure phoenix spell (wow, that's an overpowered spell in campaign :S. 70 att, 70 def 400 - 600 dam and 1.5k hp for 1 phoenix :S)
